Low Key Arts, a 501c3 community arts organization, is now enrolling high school students for “Inception To Projection,” an after school, film-making program. The class, now in its second year, is an intensive, hands-on exploration into the art of short film-making and will include writing, lighting, sound, camera techniques, and editing. Students will create a short film from start to finish which will be screened at the 6th Annual Arkansas Shorts in January 2013.
The Inception To Projection program will be lead by independent film-maker, Dan Anderson, who will be returning to Hot Springs from a Californian sabbatical. Anderson was The Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival Director in 2010 and 2011. He has been creating films for 13 years and has a BFA in Film Studies from The University of Colorado – Boulder. Anderson will be assisted by Leslie Fisher, who is currently working on the Mineral Explorer television series for Think-Box Media.
